Student technology support

Students can find support for all technology tools and platforms in the Hege Academic Commons: Portfolium, Canvas, Microsoft Office, Google Workplaces, and more. For more specific needs, contact IT&S via the Web Helpdesk.

In-person support

In-person support is available at the STARS Desk, which is on the second floor of Hege Academic Commons, near the Amoeba. To receive in-person support, students must follow all of the College’s safety guidelines when it comes to maintaining social distance and wearing a mask. Computers are available for student use throughout Hege Academic Commons, with those in the Commons Ground available 24/7.

Remote support

Students can receive remote support when they are not on campus. To access remote open laps, students will need to register via the links below. Students can join at any time during the open labs and troubleshoot their issue with the help of a staff member. The student may be directed toward in-person help if their issue cannot be resolved remotely.

Remote workshop

An asynchronous workshop will be available to all students, faculty, and staff in the near future. Please keep an eye on this space (and in the Daily Digest) for updated links and content. We will try to cover all of the major platforms available to the Guilford community as quickly as possible.

If you have other questions, please contact a member of the Folio Project team or a member of the Learning Design and Development team.
